So even after making it I’m still not sure what the obsession is. It’s good, it’s velvety, but it’s not AMAZING. Sorry Red Velvet lovers, I do believe you will like this recipe and I’m adding it to the recipe box just in case anyone requests it. But I’m reserving the word AMAZING for say…..peanut butter brownies. And hey, it’s ok that I’m not in love with it right? To each his own
I have the recipe posted, hopefully I can get cracking on the video for it soon…
I have never been a red velvet lover either. But I was determined to find a good red velvet recipe and be able to say that I can make a yummy red velvet. Yours is the best so far. I took it to a family christmas gathering and it was a hit! This might be my new favorite cake flavor. . .
Awesome!!
hello, i was wondering, is there a proper substitute for shortening? i know you said butter makes the cake greasy and all but i can’t use shortening (its not kosher :I) Please respond! i would really like to make this cake!
I didn’t know it wasn’t kosher, learn something new every day!
I can’t think of any other substitutes though, sorry!
