how are the cakes able to rise so high? Or should I say , What gives the cake height besides the tiers? One cake tier looks higher than the cake pan it was cooked in. Can you explain?

        Hi SC,
Yes . I just want to put variety of flowers little bit brighter colors or dual colors. I even drew some on a rectangle paper and imagined it but sometimes i feel it as so much also little bit as practice.
After seeing ur stacking and fixing cake i have been into mixing all kinds of flowers but i was practicing at that time and my friends complimented me.
This time i am actually giving to friend who is hosting a party whom mostly i dont know. I Dont want it to be so messy but i also want to show my flowers too.
I have made some rose, pansies, hydras etc. whatever i cud with 104 and 352 tips.
I dont know where u live or ur real name but u r my first teacher like u look after bakkerella. So plz can u guide me? Its a good think now that u have a blog i can keep bugging u a lot :D for ideas.

        • I’d say the best thing is just what you said, draw out your idea, color it in and see how it looks. I have a sketch book specifically dedicated to cake ideas. Sometimes when I can’t think of what to make I’ll look through my book, lol, it also contains clippings from magazines if I see a neat design or pattern. Practice your idea with some buttercream beforehand if you can, this way you’ll know exactly how it will look and there won’t be any surprises :D
